Cory Davies Bio:
Cory Davies has been playing music for over 19 years. After taking piano lessons at an early age, he played drums in school band and marching band. Trading in his drums for a guitar in 1992, he sharpened his skills by jamming around campfires, in garages, basements, and eventually open stages. In 2001, he started hosting open stages in Greencastle, IN at The Fluttering Duck and The Sugarmoon, both places frequented by Depauw University students.
He also played bass for Cabin Row for over a year playing bars and hosting 2 open stages at Catcher's Pub & Eatery. His great personality and common sense about music in general has earned him respect in many musical circles. Cory has a wide range of influences from Tom Petty, STP, Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Dylan, Zeppelin, Black Crowes, Clapton and John Prine, to bluegrass, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton, MMW, Phish and cultural mandolin music. Cory also plays many instruments, such as mandolin, harmonica, bass guitar, keyboard, banjo, double bass, percussion instruments, and accordian.
